Position Summary: The Commercial Warehouse Clerk II supports the daily material flow between the warehouse, production, and shipping areas to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and on-time delivery of purchased components and supplied parts/materials to post-process areas.
This position is responsible for performing all receiving, storage, picking, and sorting activities while maintaining accurate inventory records in the ERP system. The role requires close coordination with Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, and Assembly teams to ensure that materials, tools, and commercial parts are delivered in the correct quantity, condition, and timing.

This position is responsible for performing all receiving, storage, picking, and sorting activities while maintaining accurate inventory records in the ERP system. The role requires close coordination with Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, and Assembly teams to ensure that materials, tools, and commercial parts are delivered in the correct quantity, condition, and timing.
Receiving and Inventory Control
- Receive incoming parts, supplies, and materials from suppliers and KSS (Kyoto Seisakusho Japan); verify quantity, part number, and condition.
- Enter receipts and stock movements accurately in the ERP system.
- Label materials and assign storage locations in accordance with FIFO and 5S standards.
- Report any damage, shortage, or discrepancy to Purchasing and Quality.
- Pick and deliver parts, supplies, and materials to assembly and machine-build areas according to production schedules and Manufacturing Orders (MOs).
- Maintain proper material identification and segregation between PMI and KSS projects.
- Replenish point-of-use racks and carts as needed to prevent production interruptions.
- Support “waiting parts” and “commercial parts” visibility by updating shared status sheets.
- Participate in warehouse layout optimization, standardization, and Kaizen activities.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas in compliance with 5S and safety requirements.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and lifting devices (certification required).
- Support physical and cycle inventory counts and assist in variance investigations.
- Assist in training new or temporary warehouse staff as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse or material-handling experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment or distribution environment.
- Experience using ERP systems and barcode scanning devices.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy.
- Ability to read part drawings, MO documents, and packing lists.
- Good communication and teamwork skills with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics.
- Basic Excel and email proficiency for status tracking and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks safely.
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is required. Japanese is a plus (not required).
- Primary work area: warehouse, dock, and material staging zones near assembly.
- Regular exposure to forklift and cart movement, occasional temperature variations.
- May require overtime or weekend work during busy production periods or shipment deadlines.
